What are Dermal fillers and what can they do for me?

This technique consists in injecting hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse®), to remodel facial features. Both fillers are non-toxic, biocompatible and reabsorbable. Which filler is used depends on your needs, and the area you would like to improve. What's involved?

Hyaluronic acid is present naturally in the skin and as we age it's progressively lost and so the skin loses firmness, appearing flaccid and leading to facial shape distortion.

With hyaluronic acid we can achieve the following for lips:

• Redefine the Cupid's Bow shape
• Improve the profile of the lips
• Improve the labial volume and create a symmetrical and balanced appearance
• Reduce the wrinkles that can appear at the corners of the lips

The procedure is virtually painless; you will only feel slight pinpricks.

Results

The effect of hyaluronic acid augmentation can be seen instantly and we check the result after two weeks. Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is absorbed by the body and so maintenance sessions will be needed every 6 to 12 months.
If the filling is carried out with calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse®), the results, while also visible immediately, are definitive a month and a half after the session as the substance produces a stimulation of the fibroblasts and with it of all the cells that give firmness to the face. Radiesse stimulates the natural production of collagen.
Your skin will look and feel much more hydrated, firm and smooth after the treatment, whichever of these products is used.

Post-treatment

For best results, follow these recommendations:

Use sun block, drink plenty of water to keep the skin hydrated, avoid any other infiltration for 15 days.
